Canberra Club 5 Success

The first out of season event, a Sunday lunch followed by a walk in Kirkby Lonsdale , was held at The Red Well Inn, and was, as usual, proficiently organised in minute detail by John Vero, a member of the new Events Committee. The day was a resounding success, enjoyed by everyone; well done John, and thanks!

Those attending were:- John and Kath Butterworth, Peter and Jennifer Marsland, Mike and Judith Waddington, Peter and Marie Bradley, Bill and Adrienne Smith, Barry and Margaret Lewis, Stephen and Norma Liver, John and Jean Vero, John and Margaret Knowles, Peter Robinson, David Hodgkinson, Barbara Barrett, Shirley Healy, and last, but not least, John Brennand.

The day would not have been complete if the Assistant Artistic Director had not made a record of the day on her trusty camera catching those unguarded moments we all enjoy!!

23 well fed Area 18 members now ready for an afternoon stroll

Bill between two roses!

Jennifer behind the wheel, and only a rose separates Peter!

Only John and Jean's gleaming smiles can detract from the rose!

Great to see John and Kath here, but where's their Rose!?

The biter bit!  Margaret caught without her camera,
and without a rose as well, but is supported by 'Clickity Click' John

David surrounded on either side by roses Judith and Barbara
and another to the front too!

The finger says it all, Shirley is the rose, and Peter agrees!

Marie, you know who, Peter and Mike with no rose,
and only a red bottle top!

Only Barry and Margaret could out-do us all with a
whole bouquet to themselves!

Rose, Jean, wheel, John and Smug b....., with tissues!

Striding Out!
And it's the best place to be striding out of!

Someone should have said 'tallest on the right shortest on the left!'

Clickity Click with his CIA minder at Lune Side!

3 Wise men can't decide which path to take!

River Lune and the Lune Valley

So, as the sun sinks over the hills, it's time to say 'Goodbye' Kirkby Lonsdale, we will return, and thanks everyone for making it such an enjoyable day.

Exiting the piano playing cheese shop!

John seems sad that it's time to leave!

An acknowledgement to our Assistant Artistic Director for the wonderful pictures, thank you!.
