Jaguar Drivers' Club
Area 18
2006
The 2nd event organised by the new Social Committee, better known as the 'Canberra 5', was held at The Sitting Goose' Inn, Bartle, near Preston, on Sunday 19th March.
David Hodgkinson was the man in charge of the days' programme that consisted of a meal at the 'Goose', followed by a visit to Minster Jaguar at Riversway, Preston, to see the latest XK8 Jaguar, and a short drive down the Fylde coast to 'The Clifton Arms' hotel at Lytham St. Anne's, where afternoon tea was taken.
There was a good turnout of Area 18 members, and everyone enjoyed an excellent meal, an opportunity to see the new Jaguar, and the relaxing atmosphere of leafy Lytham.
So much could be said about this picture, but everything is not as it seems!
For a start, the one with the smile is not the Mona Lisa, and whilst they are close, they aren't sisters, and 'old blue eyes', the startled one, can't believe that the silver thing thrust in to his face is a camera!
It just goes to show that everything is not always black and white and sometimes they are grey! Jean, with her two wine drinking Leprechauns and faithful minder awaits her leg of 'Herdwick'Well, they said they were having a good time!
I think they were just hungry
See what a difference a starter course can make, 3 with a big smile and one with a big thirst! Steve has a smile on his face as he points out that Norma isn't actually on the menu, just sitting next to it! The chairman and his companions enthusiastically oblige our Assistant Artistic Director, whilst another ponders what he could be doing at home!Just like in his last big fight, John sways away to miss the flash!
Peter and Margaret (how did she get there?) positively glow!
The chap in the corner looks as though he isn't with this party, on second thoughts I don't think he's on this planet!
What's this finger tip touching John, you know you like it, grab it with both hands?
Better still take your cheque book, have a demo drive, place the order, and pay the deposit!
Normal Service will be resumed tomorrow!
